Having Lag Issues?

Server side lag issues

Our goal at Vanilla Demon is to ensure the server runs as smoothly as possible for all players.

We want to keep lag as minimal as possible, let it be connection or server load issues.

If you believe the server is lagging please fill out a bug report and we'll investigate.

Client side lag issues

Most client side lag issues can be solved by installing performance mods such as Optifine or Sodium, or by switching to Ethernet cable instead of wireless to improve connection.

More common sources of client side lag
 

  • Very high render distance (options > video settings)

  • Internet cables not firmly connected

  • Outdated Java versionava version

  • AntiVirus causing lag spikes to Java programs

  • Not playing Minecraft in FULL SCREEN

  • Outdated operating system/drivers

  • Slow computer
